Shadow play (also referred to as lamp shadow play) is a folk opera where stories are performed on stage with movable figurines of paper animal fur, or paper plates. It is typically accompanied by a band.
皮影戏，又称“影子戏”或“灯影戏”，是一种以兽皮或纸板做成的可活动的人物煎影，搭配有乐队伴奉和旁白配音，在舞台上表演故事的民间戏剧。
According to historical records.shadow play dates back to the Warring States Period. It became prosperous in the Han, Tang, and Song Dynasties, and reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty In the Yuan Dynasty. It was introduced to West Asia and Europe.
据史书记载，皮影戏始于战国，兴于汉朝、唐宋，盛于清代，元代时期传至西亚和欧洲。
Making Procedures

China has a vast territory, and shadow puppets everywhere have their own characteristics, but the production procedures of shadow puppets are mostly the same.
中国幅员辽阔，各地的皮影戏都有自己的特点，但皮影戏的制作程序大多是一样的。
They usually go through eight processes: Leather selection, leather making, painting, painting, engraving, color application, sweating and ironing, binding and synthesis.
